MdM in Lebanon
MdM, recognized in Lebanon as a major player in the areas of mental health (MHPSS) and sexual and reproductive health (SRH), aims to strengthen the national health system and increase access to quality healthcare.
MdM supports several health centers in the governorates of the North, the Bekaa, and the southern suburbs of Beirut.
Since the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah on November 27, 2024, the situation remains volatile, particularly in the south of the country ; MdM is developing a response plan in case of further population displacement and will plan needs assessments if necessary.
About the role
Since mid-2025, with the funding crisis and the end of two multi-year projects, the mission has faced a significant reduction in its activities and staff. With the support of headquarters, one of the general coordinator’s priorities is to develop its sources of funding.
What you’ll do
Under the supervision of the emergency desk manager at the HQ, you are responsible for the overall management of the Lebanon mission.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Recruit, manage, train and motivate the mission’s team
- Define the operational and advocacy strategy together with the coordination team, the desk manager and the volunteer board delegates of the mission
- Plan and monitor activities, implement corrective action when necessary, providing technical support to the team
- Represent MdM with authorities, local actors, partners, donors and the media
- Monitor partnership agreements with partners, authorities and donors, seek out and develop new partnerships, and ensure or supervise fundraising
- Ensure the financial coverage of the mission by leading fundraising and budget management
- Draft, adapt and monitor safety regulations and procedures and coordinate crisis management in the region
- Implement and monitor the application of MdM’s programmatic and support services framework, policies and procedures
- Supervise reporting to MdM and donors
Who you’ll work with
You directly supervise an administrative coordinator, a medical coordinator, a MEAL manager, a field coordinator and a logistics officer.

Contract & status:
- Gross monthly salary: 4 027 €
- Fixed-term contract (12 months), starting ASAP
- Trial period : 1 month
- Single posting
Work environment:
- Position based in Beirut, Lebanon
- Regular field visits
Benefits:
- 13th month salary (paid in 2 installments after 6 months of service)
- Expatriation allowance: 10% of gross monthly salary
- Coverage of travel (home – mission), visas, and vaccinations
- Housing allowance of 1198 USD
- Health insurance (50% covered by MdM and 50% by the employee)

Your profile
You are the right match if you:
- have minimum three years of experience in a similar level with an international NGO (general coordinator, country director, head of mission, deputy-country director)
- acquired substantial experience in emergency responses, safety and security management
- are familiar with risk analysis and access strategies development
- speak English fluently
This role may not suit you if you:
- have no experience in fundraising and relationships with institutionnal and private donors
- have no experience working in a volatile environment
- are not aligned with MdM’s values
