Recrutement  ERITREA - Midwife - (Afabet)

MdM has provided support since 2004 to disfigured people by war, diseases or malnutrition, supporting people excluded by their disability to return to a normal social life. Since March 2006, MdM is providing technical assistance to the Ministry of Health to improve access to obstetrical surgical care in Afabet Hospital and the referral system for high-risk deliveries in Northern Red Sea region, where the estimated maternal mortality rate is one of the highest in the world.

The midwife will have to:

- Provide trainings to Afabet Hospital doctor, midwifes, peripheral facilities health staffs, and trained traditional birth attendants.

- Analyse the gathered statistical data.

- Make the analysis and the assessment of the context, of problems and needs and pass it on to the medical and the general co-ordinators.

- Take part in the preparation and in the realisation of external assessments.

- Propose readjustments of the program’s medical contents and passes them on the medical and the general co-ordinators.

- Exchange medical technical information with headquarters.

- Make an end of mission report and pass it on to the medical and general co-ordinators and headquarters.

Monthly Allowance : 800 Euros + Daily subsistence
