Recrutement Emergency Desk - MOBILE MEDIC (M/F)

Mission:
As a member of the Emergency Desk Team and under the responsibility of the Assistant Director of International Operations, s/he will be responsible for the following:
Abroad / Travelling 80% of the time:
Operational participation in emergency field missions
- Undertaking exploratory missions and the diagnosis of sanitary conditions
- Proposals for methods of intervention / project planning
- Implementation of the medical aspects of projects / managerial tasks / coordination between institutions and communication of information from the field to Head Office.
- Local coordination and team management
- Ensure the respect of security rules
- Negotiation with local partners (financial backers, politic and health authorities)
Based in France 20% of the time:
- Contemplation and formalisation of tools used by emergency missions
- Technical support to the Desks in the setting up of emergency projects (medical aspects)
- Participation in the training plan of missions’ services members
- Participation in the drafting of final operations reports (medical aspects)
- Operational follow up of missions abroad (medical aspects)
Profile:
Doctor or Nurse or Midwife
Significant NGO experience in emergency situations:
- Crises (for example: Refugee camps, epidemics, armed conflicts…)
- Technical supervision of activities (for example: Nutritional centres, cholera camps…)
- Exploratory missions / setting up of missions
- Team management
- Negotiations with donors
Fluent in French and English / Spanish a plus / Familiar with computer software (Word - Excel)
Great degree of mobility (80% of the time in the field) and availability.
Physical and psychological strength, quick to react, aptitude to manage and work as part of a team.
