L'équipe du Tour de France Humanitaire parcourt 12 villes en 2008, en France et en Europe. Une étape du Tour c'est 3 jours condensés pour S'INFORMER, RENCONTRER et ECHANGER avec les acteurs professionnels du secteur solidaire.

Recruitment criteria and preparations for leaving



It is essential that all expatriates speak fluent English, Spanish, or Portuguese. Languages such a Russian, Chinese, or Arabic are an added advantage. In addition, applicants must be available for 5 to 6 consecutive months.

Doctors:
General practitioners must have a doctorate or an equivalent diploma.
Specialists must have successfully completed 4 semesters of an internship.
Training in public health, epidemiology, tropical diseases, infectious diseases or accidents and emergencies is an advantage.

Surgeons:
Surgeons must have successfully completed 4 semesters of an internship.

Nurses, midwives, and clinical psychologists:
A state diploma and two years of professional experience is essential.

Administrators:
Administrators must have training in management or extensive professional experience. They must be able to demonstrate a minimum of two years’ experience in financial management, accountancy, or budgeting.

Logisticians:
Logisticians must have technical training (buildings, hydraulics, mechanics, stocks, or telecom management…) with at least two years of professional experience in their field.

Human rights specialists:
Human rights specialists must have an advanced level of training in human rights, refugee law, or international law, and be able to demonstrate some relevant professional experience in one of these areas.

Preparations for leaving:
A course is organised by Médecins du Monde several times each year to prepare people for their departure. It is targeted at future expatriates and is intended to help people find programmes abroad that facilitate their plans. It also allows recruitment officers to hone future candidates’ assignments.
